Come join us as we celebrate 40 years of growing some of the nation's finest specialty mushrooms! Your Open House experience will include a 30-minute tour of our facility, a gift, wine tasting, and a plethora of mushroom-centric foods from the GMI staff, local chefs, and other local partners.
Our friends at Wind & Rye and Backyard Forestville are hosting a Cooking with Mushrooms class! We encourage you to check it out! "Whether you are an experienced forager or a novice eager to learn the names of a few different species, this hands on class will provide you with recipes to incorporate mushrooms into appetizers, entrees and even desserts! Chef Daniel Kedan of Backyard Restaurant will be returning to the Wind & Rye Kitchen to teach this class. He will discuss the important roll fungi play in our local ecosystem, highlight varieties that can be found growing wild in Northern California and also provide resources for purchasing organic mushrooms cultivated right here in Sonoma County!"
